Golden Point House

Once a miners cottage from 1890, now a family home for contemporary living. The house is divided into two distinct parts. Firstly, the original cottage section with original heritage features, secondly the living section, modest in form and scale. The two areas are seamlessly blended together with a dramatic spatial transition, and a sense of separation from one another.

The home provides outlook across the city of Ballarat and captures beautiful snapshots of the beautiful heritage city skyline. A deliberate attempt to create contrast and shadow providing a varied and transitional experience throughout the day.
